Say hello to the new ad-free social media network which is being touted as the ‘Facebook killer.’
Mumbai: Originally created by a group of seven artists and programmers. Ello is the latest social networking site that is making internet rounds. The sight is presented without ads and the logo is a black and white smiley face.
Since it is ad-free, it is considered anti-Facebook: Here is the site's manifesto:
The user experience is clutter-free and what catches the attention is the expansive header photo, which is equivalent of the Facebook cover photo. While it's not full visible when you visit a profile, it's easy to scroll upwards to reveal its entirety. Here is what a profile looks like on Ello:
