The land survey will be completed in one day in all the villages in a particular mandal.

Khammam: The state government, which commenced public land survey, planned to involve the locals in protecting the property.

The government directed the officials to receive complaints from people on the alienation of public land. It also decided to file criminal cases against those who grabbed the public land.

The government issued a statement requesting the people to give the details of land-grabbing in their respective villages. The names of the persons who gave information would be kept secret.

The survey of land would be divided into nine categories such as inam land, forest land, endowments land, assigned land, Wakf, alienation, land in tank beds, banjar and revenue land. The information of revenue land, which was given to other departments, would also be collected in the present survey. The details of land which was given to poor, which is not occupied by them will also be collected.

A six-member survey team, two deputy tahsildars, two revenue inspectors, one surveyor and a municipal employee, would take part in the land survey. The survey of land will be preserved in the mandal revenue offices with all records.
