CB-CID inquiry likely into demolition of girls school
The involvement of KMC officials is suspected in the scam
Khammam: The state government has taken the demolition of the 70-year-old Andhra Girls Aided School building seriously and is said to be considering a CB-CID enquiry into the incident.
The report submitted by the district officials to the government said that prima facie, it appears that the people behind the demolition of the school building had misguided the education and police departments, and the judiciary.
The report suspected the involvement of officials of the Khammam Municipal Corporation in the entire scam. The report said that the KMC officials misguided the judiciary, police and education departments with their reports.
The district collector has written to the higher authorities of municipal administration department, asking them to take action against the officials.
The school land was donated by one E. Ramulu in 1942 and its now a considered prime real estate. This has attracted land sharks, who entered the scene using the name of Ramulu’s heirs to grab the land. The demolition of the school building recently raised many eyebrows and people had many doubts on the issue.
