Mumbai: He’s known for his cool temperament, but at a recent event, we spotted Anil Kapoor looking mighty disgruntled. The reason? Apparently, paparazzi stationed at the venue for Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do bash raised some uncomfortable questions about the fate of Khoobsurat Anil’s home production and a showcase for Sonam.
Sources present at the do told us that Anil didn’t take too kindly to observations about the lukewarm response to Sonam’s film, and failed attempt to revive the family production house, after the debacle of Aisha. He seemed to be in a bad mood for the rest of the evening and walked off without posing for camerapersons.
“We were banking heavily on the film. After Aisha, we were confident that Khoobsurat would resurrect the image of the production house and put Sonam in the top league. The disappointment is inevitable, and if Anil doesn’t wish to address these remarks right now, that is his prerogative,” said a close friend and aide of the Kapoors.
