Woman who tried to end life not raped

Raipur: A probe by Chhattisgarh police into alleged gangrape of a woman, who attempted suicide in premises of the Supreme Court on Monday, has found no evidence to establish her allegation, official sources said on Tuesday.

The woman, who is practicing law in Chhattisgarh High Court, had lodged a FIR, on November 29 last year alleging that she was gangraped by three of her relatives on November 28. Police said the woman, was later taken to a local court where her statement was recorded before a first class magistrate. Rape cases were registered against the three accused following her complaint. Police said medical tests did not confirm rape. Forensic tests too did not find semen stains in her cloth.
