Hyderabad: Three minor girls drowned in a lake in Kaziguda thanda, in Mahbubnagar district, on Monday.
The victims, identified as Mamtha, 16, Sumithra, 12, who were sisters and Nikitha, 11, had gone to collect wood from the nearby forest. On the way back home they stopped at the lake. They went for a swim, but started drowning. The locals rushed to their rescue, but were too late.
