PM Narendra Modi’s 38-member team lands in Bengaluru
Mr Modi will be received at the HAL airport where he is expected to land at 5.45 pm
Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is arriving on Tuesday for a brief two- day visit to the state, will meet Siddaganga Math pontiff, Shivakumar Swamiji Wednesday morning. He is expected to leave by helicopter for the math to take the seer’s blessings following his visit to ISRO’s facility in Peenya, official sources said.
A 38-member team, including the SPG, the Prime Minister’s private secretary, Sanjeev Kumar Singla, his public relations officer, Jagadish Thakkar, and information officer, Sharat Chander, arrived in Bengaluru Monday to prepare for Mr Modi’s visit. While all 38 checked into the Leela Palace Hotel located close to HAL airport, a few security personnel checked into the Raj Bhavan.
Mr Modi will be received at the HAL airport where he is expected to land at 5.45 pm, by state BJP leaders and Union ministers. He is later scheduled to address BJP workers near the HAL airport at 6 pm.
This being this first visit to Karnataka since becoming Prime Minister, the state government has made elaborate security arrangements for his safety. A bullet- proof car will be put at his disposal during the two days that he spends in the state and the city police is working with the Special Protection Group (SPG) to oversee his security.
Sharing the dias with Mr Modi at the inauguration of the food park in Tumkur will be Governor Vajubhai Vala, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Siddaganga pontiff ,Shivakumar Swamiji, and Union ministers D.V. Sadananada Gowda, Ananth Kumar and G.M. Siddeshwar.
