He said that they would meet the CM on Tuesday and submit a representation on the issue
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh NGOs Association president P. Ashok Babu on Monday requested Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu not to shift staff from Hyderabad to Vijayawada immediately.
He said that they would meet the CM on Tuesday and submit a representation on the issue. Mr Ashok Babu told reporters here that at present, the infrastructure in Vijayawada, the state capital, was insufficient. He asked the government to identify departments which more people interact with and shift them first to the capital.
Government departments like agriculture, education, health, irrigation and municipal administration can be shifted initially, he said. The association is also preparing lists of employees who are interested to work from Vijayawada city, he said, adding that these lists would be submitted to the government.
