Neighbours alleged that Bhully had earlier tried to drive a wedge between Venkanna and Jyothi
Warangal: The police believes that a woman, identified as Banothu Bhully, killed her four-month-old granddaughter Banothu Navya in the Nazi Thanda in Warangal district on Sunday, said Nekonda SI Mithun Chakraborthy.
The parents, Banothu Venkanna and Jyothi, said, “She (Banothu Bhully) had intentionally placed heavy blankets on top of the baby, to suffocate her, and then left to fetch water. When we returned home from the fields, we found our daughter dead.”
Ms Jyothi alleged that her mother-in-law had also threatened to kill her when she was pregnant. Neighbours alleged that Bhully had earlier tried to drive a wedge between Venkanna and Jyothi.
