Mystery behind attack on a woman
Nellore: Mystery shrouds the attack against a woman during broad daylight at busy Stonehouse-peta area on Monday.
Some unidentified persons slit the throat of the woman Y. Parameswari, 40, when she was alone at her home in Pappula Street around 12 noon. Her husband Sesha Rao found her in a pool of blood when he came home for lunch.
He rushed her to the hospital and alerted the police. He is running a grocery shop near his house. Locals have seen drivers of a transport company moving around in the street before the incident.
“Whoever attacked her has not touched any valuables. Moreover, a gold chain is intact on her neck. The scene of the offence indicates absence of any struggle. Going by her condition she should have run out of the house after the attack, but she didn’t and she was waiting for her husband. Her condition is reportted to be stable. but she is yet to give any details about the attack,” Nellore town DSP P. Venkatnath Reddy said.
