Abhinav Bindra not to pull trigger anymore, announces on Twitter
Incheon: India’s Olympic medallist, shooter Abhinav Bindra, announced his retirement (on Twitter) on Monday. He is India’s only gold medallist in 10m Air Rifle (2008 Beijing Olympics) and the first one to achieve the feat. His last show will be on September 23 at the 17th Asian Games here.
The 32-year-old came to Asiad despite declaring retirement after Commonwealth Games because he was keen for an Asiad medal. "Tomorrow will mark the end of my professional shooting life ! I will however still shoot , compete as a hobby shooter training twice a week," Bindra tweeted on Monday.
