Use welfare funds properly: Sunitha
Anantapur: Civil supplies minister Paritala Sunitha has directed the officials of SC/ST and BC corporations to take necessary measures that welfare schemes should not be diverted and they reach only genuine beneficiaries.
Ms Sunitha had a review meeting with the officials of welfare departments of SC/ST, BC and Minority welfare corporations at her residence here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said government was taking all steps to reach the benefits of schemes at the door step of genuine beneficiaries.
Referring to many schemes being implemented through the welfare departments, the civil supplies minister made it clear that not even a single programme was diverted for other purposes and called upon the targeted people to make use of them.
Reviewing the facilities at the social welfare hostels, the minister asked the concerned authorities to take steps in providing minimum facilities such as toilets, safe drinking water and others on war foot basis.
Further, the minister reiterated that the state government was committed to implement SC/ST sub-plan at any cost.
She said that the government had allocated sufficient funds for the welfare of SC/STs in the sub-plan.
“Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is keen on steps towards successful implementation of SC/ST sub-plan,” Ms Sunitha observed.
