Sarada teacher draws fire for VIP darshan bid

Sarada teacher and son were denied them permission citing strict instructions issued by the deputy administrator

Kochi: CPM leader and former devaswom minister G. Sudhakaran has come out against the bid by Sarada teacher, wife of the late CPM leader and former chief minister E.K. Nayanar, and their son Krishna Kumar, to seek the blessings of Lord Guruvayurappan through VIP queue which was denied by the security officer at the temple on Saturday.

Although Sarada teacher and son were accompanied by Mr Murali, personal assistant of Guruvayur Devaswom Board chairman T.V. Chandramohan, the security officer denied them permission citing strict instructions issued by the deputy administrator. They later returned after having ordinary darshan.

Mr Sudhakaran, in a Facebook post on Sunday, said that the legendary communist P. Krishna Pillai, who is the icon of every CPM man, always stood against special (VIP) considerations.
