L&T may get deal to build Hyderabad police headquarter
Hyderabad: The Telangana government, which is at loggerheads with L&T for ‘leaking of letter’ to the media on Metro Rail project, is now keen to handover contract to the same group to build a world-class multi-storied police commissionerate building on eight-acre land in Road No. 12, Banjara Hills.
The top construction company is said to have submitted the building design to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who is learnt to have approved it and asked L&T to go ahead with the project. The orders to this effect are expected soon. Mr Rao has also proposed to construct camp offices for Telangana chief secretary, DGP and Hyderabad police commissioner at the three-acre government land available in front of the judge’s quarters on Road No. 10, Banjara Hills.
