Hyderabad: The Telangana government has allotted land for the construction of a permanent building for the US consulate here.
The land is in the financial district of Nanakramguda village in RR district. The consulate is now functioning from a leased building in Begumpet. A tripartite lease deed for the land was executed on Saturday by the Telangana government, the TSIIC and the US consulate. US consul general Michael C. Mullins said that construction of the consulate will be launched soon.
