Mumbai: If rumour mills are to go by, it wasn’t Deepika Padukone but Anushka Sharma who was the first choice opposite Ranbir Kapoor for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha. Apparently Anushka was offered the film but she turned it down.
It isn’t clear whether Anu didn’t like the script or whether she didn’t want to repeat the Bombay Velvet pairing. Whatever the reason, it is a win-win situation for Ranbir-Deepika fans.
