Hyderabad: Known for his icy cool temperament, it is difficult to unnerve Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, that norm was broken for once and for all when he was in Hyderabad during the ongoing Champions League T20.
According to reports in Mumbai Mirror on Friday, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain was denied his share of special Hyderabadi biryani. This made him angry and then he made sure that the entire CSK unit was moved out from the Hotel Grand Kakatiya and shifted to Taj Krishna.
It was reported that MS Dhoni’s Indian teammate Amabti Rayudu had arranged for a special home-cooked biryani for the entire CSK team. It is a well-known fact that the biryani from Hyderabad household is one of its kind and a delight for anyone who enjoys good food.
As per the policies of Grand Kakatiya though, the Dhoni-led CSK was denied to have their share of the mouth-watering biryani. That apparently enraged MS Dhoni and then came the decision to leave the hotel where the CSK were designed to stay earlier on.
The hotel management while refusing to comment why team CSK left the hotel, they agreed that the Dhoni-led IPL team has chosen to move out of the hotel. According to Grand Kakatiya rules, consumption of outside food is strictly prohibited.
However, in this case they were apparently ready to let Dhoni and co. have some portion of biryani in their rooms. But when Dhoni demanded to have biryani from the Rayudu household at hotel’s boardroom, the Grand Kakatiya management simply refused to let that happen.
