Bogus voters audio goes viral
City residents got the conservation between police officer and advocate purportedly on their watsapp
Coimbatore: An audio file exposing the "police inaction" against bogus voters went viral in the city on polling day. Many city residents with WhatsApp on their mobile phones got the audio conservation purportedly between a police officer and an advocate, who had caught two bogus voters and handed them over to the police.
The advocate, who is presumably at the police station, asks a cop to provide details about the two persons who had cast bogus votes at Kavundampalayam. But the policeman remains evasive and refuses to tell the advocate the names of the bogus voters. He maintains that they have been detained in the police station. But the advocate states that he was at the station in person and the "bogus voters" were not there.
