Nara Lokesh men in state wings
30 MLOs were selected by Nara Lokesh and his close aide Abhista
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam leader Nara Lokesh’s aides will be appointed in all ministers' offices, including the CM Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu signed a file sanctioning 30 media liaison officers (MLOs) on Wednesday. Of them, 19 will be posted in ministers’ offices and five at the Chief Minister’s offices. The remaining will be posted with the AP government’s monthly magazine Andhra Pradesh.
Sources said 30 MLOs were selected by Nara Lokesh and his close aide Abhista, who is the OSD at the CM’s office. These MLOs were Mr Lokesh’s team members who worked as analysts during the general elections.
Each MLO will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 25,000 and a conveyance allowance of Rs 3,000. Nara Lokesh is also following his grandfather N.T. Rama Rao’s footsteps. During the NTR government, the TD had established the NTR Vijnana Parishad at Gandipet and gave training to TD workers.
The latter were appointed as Public Relation officers (PROs) in ministers’ offices. They reported directly to NTR. Some of them even dominated ministers as they had direct access to NTR.
Their duty was to report how the ministers offices were working and if any staff of the ministers were peddling their influence.
In the same way, now Mr Lokesh’s men will be appointed as PROs in all the ministers offices. They have to report about the functioning of the ministers’ offices and any party worker or leader peddling influence.
