Warangal: A case of ragging by seniors was reported from Kakatiya University in Warangal. The incident had occurred at the Ganapathi Deva hostel campus of KU.
A student, Santhosh from Narasimhulapeta of Peddamupparam, filed a complaint alleging ragging by his seniors in the college in the last three days. He stated that nearly 20 people barged into his hostel room and beat him and his friends. The student said that the senior students threatened them of dire consequences if they told about ragging to the university authorities. The University officials said they had ordered the HoD of the concerned department to inquire into the incident.
