Alizé offers vodka and Cognac mix

A segment in the alcohol industry the world over that is increasingly gaining popularity is the ready-to-drink one. While the Alizé has been around for a while, more and more players are offering drinks that one needs to simply pour in a glass filled with ice to enjoy an instant burst of flavours.

Alizé’s most popular one till date is the Gold Passion that mixes passion fruit juice from the tropics with rich Cognac. While it is a very interesting liqueur, it can be a bit difficult to work with. Unlike most other liqueurs, it has the consistency of a syrup that needs either a good Champagne or a tarty apple juice to cut through and present a bit of acidity and lightness to the experience.

Since it is a bit thick and tends to leave one with a coating of sorts on the palate, this is one liqueur that is usually not consumed neat. It is best enjoyed on the rocks, with Champagne or mixed with apple juice for a refreshing longer drink.
