Protest at Jantar Mantar over Chinese President Xi Jinping visit
Xi arrived in India on Wednesday today for a three-day visit
New Delhi: Members of a Hindu outfit held a protest at Jantar Mantar here over the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the country.
The stir was organised by Hindu Sena activists and the saffron group also threatened to carry on with their protest tomorrow.
"On one side, China wants to increase trade and commercial relations with us but, on the other, it is (allowing) infiltration into the country," said Vishnu Gupta, President of Hindu Sena.
Hindu Sena warned that their movement was going to affect the results of upcoming Assembly elections. Xi arrived in India earlier today for a three-day visit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chinese President will hold detailed talks in Delhi.
