Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy lashes out at Congress
Nellore: Telugu Desam politburo member Mr Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy expressed satisfaction on the 100-day rule of the TD led government in the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh. He said the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N . Chandrababu Naidu has helped lay a strong foundation for the way ahead. The senior TD leader, who took part in the 100-day celebrations organised by the party unit at NTR Bhavan in Nellore on Tuesday, said that the people of the state were happy with the 100 day rule of the TD led government in the state.
Pointing out to the revenue deficit with which the state began its new journey, Mr Somireddy observed that the Telugu Desam government as its first responsibility had to go into ‘damage-control’ mode in terms of the extreme injustice done to the state on account of the unilateral division of the state. He took strong exception to the manner in which the YSR Congress and the beleaguered Congress was trying to create hurdles to the state government which is trying its best to put the state back onto the development track.
Chandramohan Reddy pointed out that while the Congress and the YSR Congress promoted ‘red sanders smuggling’ operations during their rule, the Telugu Desam led government had effectively contained it. The former minister exuded confidence that the Telugu Desam government would fulfill all the election promises made to the people of the state including the loan waivers promised to both the farmers, the Dwacra women self help groups and weavers. Elsewhere Congress leader Anam Vivekananda Reddy and District Congress Committee president K. Dhanunjaya Reddy have lambasted the Telugu De-sam for not fulfilling any of its election promises. They said that the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had taken people for a ride with false promises. They added that they would agitate on behalf of the people against the government for cheating them with false promises.
