New Delhi: Former CAG of India Vinod Rai has dared former civil aviation minister Praful Patel to file a defamation case against him and threatened to place all records before the courts. Though Mr Rai blamed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the 2G and coal scams, he appeared to be softening his stance, saying “history will be kind” to Dr Singh.

“He (Praful Patel) is welcome to file a case. In fact, in some ways, I will be happy if he does, because then at least the nation will get a chance to debate issues that will come into a public forum, I will place all such records then,” said Mr Rai, whose new book Not Just An Accountant will be launched Wednesday
