Rape case: Railway Minister's son Karthik Gowda to meet probe officer fortnightly

Karthik has to appear before the investigating officer whenever he is summoned
Bengaluru: In his third appearance at RT Nagar police station, Karthik Gowda, son of Railway Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, who has been accused of rape and cheating by a Kannada actress, presented himself before the investigating officer on Monday and signed the register to mark his presence.
Karthik has to appear before the investigating officer whenever he is summoned and visit RT Nagar police station on the 15th and 30th of every month till the investigation is completed to fulfill his bail conditions. He was questioned by RT Nagar police on Friday and Saturday and subjected to a medical examination in connection with the rape and cheating case filed by Mythriya Gowda.
Coming out of the station, Karthik refused to comment on the issue stating the matter was in court. “I am here as part of the bail conditions and will cooperate with the investigations,” he said. The police who recorded his statement are verifying the telephonic conversations and mobile tower locations to ascertain the facts.
Karthik has approached the court to quash the FIR filed against him, while the complainant has requested the police to move the court to cancel the bail.
