Ram Gopal Varma’s latest film lifted?

Is Anukshanam a copy of a hit Korean film?
Hyderabad: The director who once said, “I will make new films and will show different angles with my stories. I will also make a film which will showcase real times crimes that happen in India,” is now being blamed for copying a story from a Korean film in his latest film. He is none other than filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who is said to have lifted the plot for his film Anukshanam from the 2010 Korean film I Saw The Devil. The news that is now spreading like wildfire has upset RGV’s fans.
I Saw The Devil is about a bus driver who rapes a woman, kills her and scatters her body parts. There was also news that the Bollywood film Ek Villain has been inspired from I Saw The Devil, with a few changes in the plot, however director Mohit Suri refuted the rumours.
RGV claimed that his film Anukshanam was inspired by a real life incident about a serial killer in Hyderabad. However, the plots of the Korean and the Tollywood film are very similar, with minor changes. The director was not available for any comment.
