Three members of family travelling on motorcycle were hit by and unidentified vehicle

Vijayawada: In a tragic incident, three members of a family were killed when the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Nandamuru village of Unguturu mandal early on Sunday. Cheeli Suvarna Raju, 43, manager at gold loan firm, his wife Ch. Jyothi, 40, and daughter Ch. Bhavya Sri, 14, were on their way way to Bantumilli near Gudivada to attend a marriage function when the mishap took place.
The family had reached the petrol bunk in Nandumuru village at around 5 am when the unidentified vehicle, suspected to be a lorry, hit the motorcycle from behind. While Jyothi and Bhavya were run over by the vehicle and succumbed to the injuries on the spot, Raju breathed his last on way to a hospital in Vijayawada, according to Unguturu S-I G. Suresh Babu.
