Hyderabad: A man killed his two sisters here late on Saturday night, alleging that they were drinking liquor and behaving badly. Police said Arvind Kumar Yadav, 19, killed his sister Preethi Kumari, 25, when she allegedly asked their younger brother Krishna to get liquor. Their sister Kanchan, 23, saw the murder and threatened to report him to the police, at which he killed her as well.
Police said the family alleged that they had received many complaints regarding the girls in the past. They had to shift houses 12 times in the past due to this, the family said. The police was alerted at about 11.30 pm on Saturday night. Arvind fled after the murders but gave himself up at the police station later.
“I and my father were at the shop and we rushed home on hearing the news. He was scared and we asked him to surrender,” said Santosh Yadav, Arvind’s elder brother.
