A fan sneaks onto the sets of Hollywood film on M.S. Ramanujan

Chennai: In a quiet part of Chennai, near Chepauk, film history could be in the making.
Dev Patel, of Oscar-nominated Slumdog Millionaire fame, is shooting in the city for Matthew Brown’s upcoming Hollywood film, The Man Who Knew Infinity. Dev plays the role of Indian mathematician M.S. Ramanujan, and the shoot has created quite the stir.
Entry on the sets of the film is restricted, but Dev made time for a young fan, Sudeshna Banerjee, who squeezed past the high-security cordon. Posing with Sudeshna, Dev obviously made her day, and she too was thrilled about her encounter with the Hollywood star.
Meanwhile, director Matt Brown, stayed away from the media, but the lead actor was affable. The Chennai leg of the film is underway and Devika Bhise, who plays Ramanujan’s wife in the film, will join the shoot any day now.
