The boys were blamed for stealing Rs 500

Bhopal: In a shocking incident, four minor boys of a village in Madhya Pradesh were forced to put their hands in boiling oil to prove their innocence.

The boys underwent the ordeal after being blamed for stealing Rs 500 at Jhila village in Sagar district.

Bhagwandas Chadar and his brother Lakhan and his wife Sashi suspected that four boys, Bharat Kushwaha (13), Halkoti Patel (12), Akash Kushwaha (11) and Ramkumar Kushwaha (14), had stolen the money.

According to police, the boys were forced to undergo the test after they returned from school on Thursday evening.

The boys were assaulted by the Chadar family, which decided that the only way for them to prove their innocence was through ‘agni pariksha’.

The family forced the boys to dip their hands in boiling oil, one by one.

One of the victims, Akash, managed to escape and informed his parents about the atrocity.
