Vijayawada: An increasing number of unauthorised layouts in Krishna and Guntur districts is likely to mar Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu’s plans to develop a world class state capital for Andhra Pradesh.
He is interacting with international consultants but at the ground level, the future capital is facing a threat of unorganised growth of unauthorised lay outs in the two districts.
If the VGTM urban development authority and revenue officials fail to check the menace, the unauthorised layouts will ultimately affect prospective buyers, who will be at a great loss.
Lack of coordination among the government departments also helps in mushrooming of unorganized lay outs. Realtors are said to be making ventures with the support of some field staff at village level and at UDA.
The VGTM urban development authority officials washed their hands off by appealing to the public to be cautious about unorganised lay outs.
The UDA officials claim that they are helpless to check the unauthorised layouts without the cooperation of revenue officials.
