Staff say no to Vijayawada
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government employees of several departments have told their secretaries that they are not interested in shifting to Vijayawada as they will face many problems.
If suddenly shifted to Vijayawada their children’s education will be affected, it will be difficult to look for accommodation for house rents have increased drastically after naming the capital.
Meanwhile, IAS officers also said if the head of the departments shift to Vijayawada it will become a problem.
At the same time some employees are willing to shift to Vijayawada after the present academic year.
Some of the employees are proposing that instead of setting up permanent offices, the government set up camp offices for every head of the department, where they can work some days in a month.
The AP government has decided to shift the HODs to Vijayawada. It has declared Vijayawada as a temporary capital city. The government issued orders recently asking the HODs to report how much place is required in shifting to Vijayawada.
After these orders several employees met their respective department secretaries and said that they will not shift to Vijayawada.
