Hyderabad High Court to civic body: issue notice to N-Convention centre
N-Convention Centre has encroached around 1.12 acres of the full tank level
Hyderabad:The Telangana State government has decided to earmark the full tank level (FTL) of the Thammidi Kunta Cheruvu, in Madhapur. N-Convention Centre, owned by actor Nagarjuna, has allegedly encroached the bund. The Hyderabad High Court has directed the state government as well as the civic authorities to issue notices to the N-Convention management on the alleged encroachment of the lake and then earmark the FTL.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, after acquiring legal opinion and the orders of the HC, decided to initiate steps for earmarking the FTL. A senior official said, “It was found during the joint inspection by the GHMC and the irrigation department that the lake bed was encroached by the management of N-Convention Centre. The municipal corporation will initiate action against the management in accordance with law.”
N-Convention, built on 10 acres, has encroached around 1.12 acres of the full tank level and 2 acres in the buffer zone.
