Kerala RSS leader murder: Vikraman admits role in Manoj murder
Kozhikode: Vikraman, 42, former driver of CPM district secretary P. Jayarajan, has admitted his role in the murder of RSS leader Manoj, according to sources in the Special Investigation Team.
During interrogation, he reportedly revealed the details of six others involved in the murder at Ukhasmotta, Thalassery, on September 1.
However, the Crime Branch sleuths are doubtful of the the names revealed by Vikraman, apart from Jithin, a videographer.
A police official told that SIT was crosschecking veracity of names revealed.
“We are suspicious about his hasty surrender which seems to be a pre-emptive attempt to mislead investigation,” said the official.
Vikraman has also conceded that the burn injuries on his body were the result of the bomb blast.
He admitted the bomb was made by him and revealed the spot where the long knife used in the murder was hidden.
According to Vikraman, the murder was a sequel to the killing of Madathikunnummal Surendran, CPM Kizhakke Kathirur branch secretary, in 1998.
Though he said that he came to surrender in the court on Thursday in an autorikshaw, the intelligence wing had reported that he came riding pillion on a bike which was followed by a gang in a car.
