Union Minister Prakash Javadekar: Elect Jaggareddy for funds
The two Union ministers have asked the voters to give preference to Mr Jaggareddy
Hyderabad: Union ministers Prakash Javadekar and Sadananda Gowda had assured the Medak electorate of flooding with funds if they ensure victory of BJP-TD candidate T. Jaggareddy in the September 13 bypoll.
Addressing an election meeting on Thursday at Gajwel Assembly segment headquarters, pres-ently held by Chief Minister K. Chandrase-khar Rao, the two Union ministers have asked the voters to give preference to Mr Jaggareddy, as the Narendra Modi government is committed to bring prosperity and development in the backward district of Telangana.
“Even if the TRS candidate wins or loses nothing will happen to KCR, but if Jaggareddy wins we will bring in flood of funds,” Railway minister Sadananda Gowda said.
Taking a jibe at Telan-gana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Mr Javadekar said, “You (KCR) do dadagiri for the sake of doing something good to the society and people. We do not have any objection, but you cannot use phrases like you would bury the media alive and break their heads. This is not a part of democracy.”
“If you ensure victory of our candidate in the bypoll, that would signify return of the TD-BJP rule in 2019 Assembly polls,” he said.
