Ongole: Markapuram MLA Janke Venkata Reddy on Thursday inaugurated a social welfare SC boys hostel set up in Konakanamitla ma-ndal.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged the students to avail the facility provided by the government.
It may be mentioned that the district administration shifted the hostel from Markapuram to Konakanamitla due to lack of sufficient strength in the hostel. As a part of restructuring program-me, the district administration shifted the hostel.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Venkata Reddy said that the government was committed to the welfare of SCs and reminded the welfare programmes introduced by the government for the welfare of SCs.
He sought the co-operation of the locals to improve the strength in the hostel. MPP Vadumula Ramanarayana Reddy, ZPTC M. Venkata Reddy, sarpanch P. Narayanam-ma were among those participated.
