Mysore: For the first time, a colourful Dasara chariot from Mysore will be reaching people’s doorsteps to offer a personalized invite to tourists from all districts.
Look forward to an aesthetically designed vehicle with embossed pictures of Nandi and Chamundi hills, Mahishasura and an outer view of Mysore Palace on one side and a stage with the inner view of the Mysore Palace on the other side.
Artists travelling 3000 km in the vehicle will perform musical concerts in the chariot to introduce the essence of Mysore Dasara to tourists from every corner of the State. This is one of the several innovative measures the district administration has initiated to attract tourists,
Also, for the first time, the Dasara Committee is using traditional percussion instruments and cycles to publicize Dasara to attract tourists. Dasara brochures are being distributed at international airports and during flights. While over 2000 stickers are being pasted on KSRTC, BMTC and Mysore city buses, over 6500 stickers are being pasted on inter State taxies and buses. To take the message of Dasara to every household, the committee collaborated with companies manufacturing household goods and got the Dasara message printed on goods.
