Jammu and Kashmir floods: DFRL dispatches ready-to-eat food

AF aircraft took off from the Mysore airport around 6 pm on Tuesday and will reach J&K by Wednesday
Mysore: The Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), based in Mysore, on Tuesday dispatched 5 tonnes of ready-to-eat food in special Indian Air force (IAF) aircraft.
The IAF aircraft took off from the Mysore airport around 6 pm on Tuesday and will reach J&K by Wednesday morning. The food will reach DRDO relief camps, from where it will be sent to other camps in remote areas.
DFRL Director Dr Harsh Vardhan Batra told Deccan Chronicle that the DRDO was working in coordination with the rescue teams of Indian Army and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
