Former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham says her present job of a fashion designer has made her successful. Victoria, 40, revealed she felt famous when her band topped the music charts but she gets real high by being a part of the fashion world, reported Contactmusic. “First time around I felt famous, but now I feel successful. I’m lucky that I do something I love, and I am proud as I think it’s a positive message to give to young women: if you want to have a career, and be married with children, then you can. It’s full-on, but it’s doable,” she said.
Victoria has four children, Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, Cruz, nine and Harper, three, with husband David. She also said that she would like David and Brooklyn to work at her fashion store. “Oh! absolutely. I’ve got great staff working at the shop and I love retail. Maybe working behind the till, who knows? David can be on the door and Brooklyn will be a Saturday boy,” she said. She launched her label Victoria Beckham in 2008 and a lower-priced (diffusion) label in 2011. The same year she won Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, beating industry heavyweights Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Burberry to the title. Her designs have gained a celebrity following with the likes of Michelle Williams, Gwyneth Paltrow and Blake Lively choosing them for red-carpet appearances.
