BJP should not be invited to form government in Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi: Upping the political ante against Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal said Jung needed to revise his letter to President Pranab Mukherjee and tell him that the BJP shouldn't be invited to form a government in Delhi in the wake of the sting operation conducted by his party in which a BJP leader, Sher Singh Dagar, had tried to bribe AAP MLAs.
"We have received a letter from the court in which Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung had written to the President that he would be very happy if the President called the BJP to form a government in Delhi," said Kejriwal on Tuesday.
"I have been trying to meet the LG since yesterday, and we will finally be meeting him tomorrow morning. The LG needs to revise his letter to the President and tell him that BJP shouldn't be invited to form a government in Delhi after the sting," he said.
"Yesterday, I had released a recorded footage of BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar trying to bribe AAP MLAs. I will be submitting a copy of the CD to the LG. It is the responsibility of the LG to make sure that things go according to the Constitution, but the kind of steps the BJP is taking is completely unconstitutional," he added.

Furthermore, Kejriwal said that the AAP will also be submitting a copy of the same to the President and request him to cancel Jung's recommendation.
"We will also be submitting a copy of the CD to the President. We would like to request the President as well to cancel the plea of the LG," Kejriwal said.
"We will protest in Delhi, and show people the sting operation and make them see the double face of the BJP. We are meeting people from every party and discussing the ways in which the BJP is violating all the rules," he said.
"We are not asking for anyone's support, we only want government formation in Delhi in a constitutional manner through elections," he added.
Kejriwal also said that the party would be filing an FIR and a petition ion the Election Commission against the BJP on the basis of the sting operation.
On Monday, AAP had released footage of BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar trying to bribe AAP MLAs.
The party had said that the BJP leader tried to bribe AAP member Vivek Yadav. He also said that Dagar offered around Rs 4 crore to AAP MLA Dinesh Mohania.
Delhi has been under the President's rule since February 17 this year after former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had resigned over the non-introduction of the Jan Lokpal Bill in the state Assembly.
