Can you finish the world's spiciest curry in time?
London: A polish couple has become the very first to eat an entire dish of Crocodile Inferno, which is the world's hottest curry.
The dish served at the Dilshad restaurant in Cannock, Staffs, which is made of crocodile meat and a red-hot blend of several of the hottest chilies in the world, is so hot, that the chef cooking it has to wear a gas mask because of the blistering fumes, the Daily Star reported.
Before taking the actual challenge, Wez and Caroline Cartwright had trained for a month by eating the spiciest chilies they could get their hands on, and 31-year-old Caroline, who's a teacher, said that she had started to hallucinate at one point while eating the dish, making it an experience she wouldn't want to repeat.
Her husband, a construction worker, 34, added that they did have urges to throw up in between, as the "incredible burning sensation" just kept increasing with every bite.
Meanwhile, restaurant owner Tony Uddin said that they didn't think anyone could finish the dish, but the pair from Swadlincote, Derbys, who were honored with a certificate and T-shirts for the task, were "phenomenal" and would go into their "hall of fame."
