There is no stopping Mahesh Babu
Hyderabad: Mahesh Babu is all excited about his upcoming film Aagadu. The actor says that he is confident this film will be one of the biggest hits in his career.
“I know that this film is going to be a big hit. I play the role of a police officer in the film. In my earlier film Dookudu, I didn’t get to play the cop’s role completely, but in this film it’s a proper police officer’s character,” he says adding that the film will release on September 19 as announced.
The actor has already signed his next film with director Koratala Shiva. “I am going to join the shoot from October 3 onwards,” he says. “The script is quite different and I haven’t done anything like it before,” says the actor about his upcoming film. He added that discussions were on with director Puri Jagannath for another film. “Once things are finalised, we will announce the details,” he says.
Mahesh also emphasised the importance of education while talking about his son Gautam. “At present Gautam has to concentrate on his education and there are no plans for another film right now,” says Mahesh Babu.
Ask him if director Shankar was planning a film with him, he says, “Shankar was a special guest at my film’s audio function. That’s it, there have been no other discussions.” He added that he will not be attending the audio function of Shankar’s film Ai, on September 15 in Chennai. “I have some other work at the same time so I will not be attending the film’s audio function,” he clarifies.
Is he ready to act in a fantasy film? “It’s too risky and the budgets are also going high these days, so I don’t think that it will work out,” says the actor adding that he would attempt to do another film like 1 in the near future.
“Yes, definitely I will try to do another film like 1. There was a small mistake in my earlier film and we have found it, next time we will rectify it. But the film gave me a lot of satisfaction,” he says.
