N Srinivasan acolytes may move High Court on AGM
Srinivasan supporters could appeal to the Madras HC citing balance sheet technicalities
Chennai: The loyalists of N. Srinivasan are set to move the Madras high court to postpone the BCCI’s AGM. The Indian cricket board is registered under the Tamil Nadu Society of Registration Act and Srinivasan supporters could appeal to the Madras HC on Monday citing balance sheet technicalities.
According to the BCCI constitution Rule No. 16, “the annual general meeting of the Board shall be held every year, but not later than September 30.”However, it may be recalled that in 2004, the BCCI AGM had to be reconvened when a club questioned Jagmohan Dalmiya’s appointment as patron-in-chief and moved the court.
