Hyderabad: Utter poverty forced a mother to sell her new born girl for Rs 100 at Kalvakurthy in Mahbubnagar district. However, alerted by locals representatives of child welfare organisations foiled her attempt.
Saida Begum who has two daughters gave birth to a girl two months ago.
She was looking for buyers to sell her for Rs 100.
People alerted a Anganwadi worker and Saida and the kid were taken to the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). ICDS officials accepted the child from the mother. consent the mother.
