Chennai: Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa on Saturday sacked milk and dairy development minister ‘Madhavaram’ V Moorthy and brought back Tiruvallur legislator B.V. Ramanaa into her cabinet by making him the dairy minister. She has also made Ramanaa the AIADMK party secretary for the reorganized Tiruvallur district, reiterating the partymen’s faith that absolute loyalty would be rewarded while shortcomings would be closely monitored.

Mr Ramanaa was sworn in by Governor K. Rosaiah at the Raj Bhavan in the presence of the chief minister. He later called on the CM to thank her and attended office. Several ministerial colleagues greeted him at his desk.

Mr Ramanaa had lost his job as revenue minister in May. ‘Madhavaram’ Moorthy has also been divested of his post as the AIADMK secretary for Tiruvallur (south).
