Visakhapatnam: A Congress activists meeting planned by Bolisetti Satyanarayana, who unsuccessfully contested from Vizag Lok Sabha seat in the last general polls, is expected to snowball into a controversy.Mr Satyanarayana on Friday told reporters that a meeting with the party activists will be held on Sunday as part of an exercise to strengthen the party in this region and also make the workers ready to face the upcoming GVMC polls.
However, sources in the City Congress Committee said that it’s the personal meeting of Mr Satyanarayana and party committee members are not likely to attend it. The meeting is being held without any consent from the city party unit. “This meeting will be different from the normal ones. Leaders will attend but they won’t speak. It is the party workers who will talk and share their views,” Mr Satyanarayana said.
