Chennai: With number of Hindu outfits are readying themselves to immerse the Vinayaga idols, installed during the Chathurthi celebrations, on Saturday and Sunday, the traffic will be regulated as follows to faciltate the movement of huge volume of participants in Srinivasapuram and Foreshore Estate depending on the crowd gathered.
Vehicles will not be allowed to proceed beyond War Memorial until Adyar Greenways Road via Kamarajar Salai.
Vehicles coming from Wallajah Road, Bharathi Salai, Besant Road, Dr RK Salai, Kutcheri Road, and South Canal Bank Road will not be allowed to proceed through Kamarajar Salai towards Santhome High Road. Vehicles that had to reach Parry's Corner from Adyar will have to go via Ramakrishna Mutt Road through Mandaiveli, Luz Corner, Royapettah High Road, Royapettah clock Tower, Whites Road, Smith Road, and Anna Salai. Vehicles approaching moving towards Adyar from Parry's Corner will be regulated at War Memorial towards Anna Salai, Wellindon Junction, GP Road, Royapettah Bell Tower, Royapettah High Road, Luz Corner, Mandaiveli Junction, Ramakrishna Mutt Road, Brodie's Castle Road and Greenways Junction.
