Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to streamline facilities at reception
EO assures to post additional staff at Kalyanakatta and reception centres
Tirumala: After bringing in several pilgrim-friendly measures in the prevailing darshan systems which won accolades from the multitude of devotees visiting the Tirumala hill shrine, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, is now shifting its focus streamlining systems in place at the ‘Kalyanakatta - Tonsure Centre’ and the ‘reception’ centres where visiting devotees avail accommodation.
Speaking to pilgrim callers as part of the ‘Dial your EO’ programme at Tirumala on Friday, TTD EO M.G. Gopal said that the temple administration assured them that proper measures would soon be initiated by the TTD to reduce the waiting hours at Kalyanakatta, tonsure centre at Tirumala.
Mr Gopal pointed out that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams had successfully brought in several reforms in the prevailing darshan systems which in turn ensured a hassle-free darshan to the visiting devotees with a reduction in longer waiting hours in the queue lines and compartments.
Mr Gopal told the pilgrim callers that ‘Now we will focus on Kalyanakatta and reception areas where pilgrims are forced to wait for longer hours especially during the peak seasons.’
There is shortage of staff both at the Kalyanakatta and reception which is a cause of concern but we would overcome the issue by posting additional staff on duty at both these pilgrim services departments.
Meanwhile, shifting his focus on the ensuing Srivari annual Brahmotsavams slated to get underway from September 26, Mr Gopal said that the temple administration is making elaborate arrangements to ensure the nine-day festivities are held in a smooth and a grand manner without any untoward incidents.
