Chandarababu Naidu pitches for US-style education system in Andhra Pradesh
CM wants to introduce audio-visual classes, with question and answer sessions
GUNTUR: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is keen on introducing the American style of education in the state, providing the teachers with tablet computers. The CM also wants to introduce audio-visual classes, with question and answer sessions, in the government schools.
Mr Naidu revealed all these plans in Guntur on Friday, while participating in the Guru Pujotsavam celebration at the Police Parade Grounds. He presented Best Teacher awards to 177 teachers from thirteen districts on the occasion.
He said that his government is planning to introduce “choice of education programme” from Class IX onwards. He also announced a CM fellowship programme which will promote innovations by offering Rs 2,000 to each student.
Naidu felicitates two of his school teachers:
AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu felicitated his teachers P. Munikrishna Reddy and P. Lakshman Reddy during the Guru Pujotsavam programme on Friday at Guntur. He recalled his association with the two of them while studying in Chandragiri High School. He said that Lakshman Reddy was a terror to them and that Munikrishna Reddy taught subjects smoothly.
He praised and thanked them for making him successful in his life. Mr Naidu presented Rs 1 lakh to each of them. Both of them pledged one month’s pension for AP capital fund.
