In Andhra Pradesh the number of ration cards were more than the families

Hyderabad: In Andhra Pradesh there are lakhs of bogus ration cards. This came to light when ration cards were linked with the Aaadhar Card. So far the officials found 15 lakh bogus ration cards and they are expecting this figure to go to 20 lakh after the completion of linking the ration cards with Aaadhar Cards.
The AP civil supplies minister, Paritala Sunitha, said on Friday that the government has directed the district officials to complete the process of linking the ration cards with Aaadhar cards by September 10th. She said after the completion of this process they will be able to know how many bogus ration cards were in the state.
Ms Sunitha said, in Andhra Pradesh the number of ration cards were more than the families. She added that there are 29,000 ration dealers and every dealer has minimum 50 bogus ration cards. She said due to bogus cards the dealers and people are also misusing crores.
